If you’ve never heard of the adidas Ghost Sprint before, we really don’t blame you. Compared to retro heavy-hitters like the Gazelle or the Samba, this silhouette has kept a much lower profile.
First debuting in 2006 as a low-cut performance runner, it was built for speed and agility. Now that flat-soled sneakers are back in a big way – and more popular than ever – there’s never been a better time for adidas to bring this underrated banger back into the spotlight.

While the Ghost Sprint is usually crafted in breathable mesh, this new edition switches things up with a head-turning Metallic Silver finish. Riding on top of a smooth leather upper, everything from the bold Three Stripes to the midfoot cage has been built for a sleek, aerodynamic look. adidas logos hit both the tongue tag and heel badge, while soft grey cotton laces pull the design together with a refined edge.
Underfoot, the ultra-flat midsole keeps you close to the ground for a responsive ride, similar to the New Balance 204L. Specially tooled rubber mouldings wrap around the outsole, offering both durability and distinctive style that’s unique to the Ghost Sprint.
Scheduled to return sometime in 2025 via adidas and select retailers both online and in-store, the adidas Ghost Sprint Metallic Silver will be available in women's sizing for $140. If you didn't manage to secure these back in the day, make sure you download Sole Retriever's mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
