Devin Booker waited nearly two years to bring us his second signature sneaker with Nike, the Book 2, but it's been worth the wait. His second sneaker is an incremental improvement on the original model, with Nike highlighting that they "trimmed the fat" from the OG to create an even more lightweight sneaker. Devin debuted the sneaker on November 18, 2025 in a game against the Portland Trailblazers. The retail debut will take place in January 2026 for $145
With the Nike Book 2, Devin and the Nike team looked to "trim the fat" from the Book 1, slimming down the internal construction, making it look better off the court, and, of course, improving its performance on it. Inside, the model contains a full-length Cushlon 3.0 foam and a forefoot Zoom Air unit. For the outsole traction, Booker took inspiration from the Air Force 1's traction. Instead of stars on the forefoot and concentric circles, Book added cactus needles and sunrays as a nod to his Phoenix Suns.
Other models that inspired the sneaker include the Nike SB Nyjah 2 and the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon, the latter really acting as the muse for the design and general look of the sneaker. The Christian Tresser-designed running sneaker uses a midfoot cage for enhanced lockdown, a feature Booker and the Nike team borrowed for the Book 2.
Debuting the sneaker are two Phoenix Suns-friendly colorways, including the Rising and Phoenix. Both pairs play into the mythology surrounding the phoenix, with the Book 1 Torched being the death of the bird, the Book 2 Rising acting as the reincarnation of the animal, and the Book 2 Phoenix being the reborn bird.
The sneaker retails for $145 in men's sizing, but special editions will retail for more. Expect a series of colorways throughout 2026 and beyond.
