Nike is no stranger to making their sneakers cosplay as other sneakers. That rings especially true for Devin Booker’s first signature sneaker, the Nike Book 1, which has unabashedly accepted its role as a channel between Nike’s archival colorways and a modern-day hoops shoe. Just look at the multiple sneakers referenced by the Book 1, including the Cortez, Air Max 95, and ACG Air Mowabb. This theme will continue into the next chapter of Book’s signature sneaker series as the Book 2 appears in an Air Zoom Spiridon-inspired colorway.
It’s actually quite fitting that Devin Booker and Nike make the Book 2 dress up just like the original colorway of Christian Tresser’s Nike Air Zoom Spiridion. After all, the Book 2 takes heavy inspiration from the model for its construction. The upper contains a similar cage-like design on the midfoot, with this specific pair literally taking on the construction and colorblocking of the OG. Speaking to Sole Retriever at Nike HQ, Devin told us that he loves the Air Zoom Spiridon and it’s one of his favorite sneakers.
Everything from the Metallic Silver Sport Red rendition of the Spiridon is present here, including the silver-grey mesh, metallic red Swoosh, red mini Swoosh on the toe box, and reflective accents throughout. Fans of the Spiridon were treated to a retro of this colorway at the end of 2023, with last year also playing host to a series of OG re-releases. Unfortunately, the last Spiridon to be released for some time hit shelves a few weeks back, but this Book 2 will certainly please some fans of the model.
The Nike Book 2 Air Zoom Spiridon will be released Spring 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $145.
