Japanese streetwear boutique atmos is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year and is collaborating with adidas to renew the G-SNK project, with the latest addition to the series in the form of a ZX 8000 entitled Ura. One of the most popular adidas models since its first release in 1989, the ZX 8000 was revolutionary at the time. Incorporating a Torsion bar into the sole system to provide support from the front to the back of the foot when being worn made the sneaker one of the most comfortable on the market.
Utilizing an inverted take on the original Aqua colorway of the model, the colorway is aptly named Ura, which, translated from Japanese, means "inside out." atmos Creative Director Hirofumi Kojima took to his IG to share images of the upcoming pair and confirmed the pair was made to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of atmos.

atmos has updated the look with a snakeskin glow-in-the-dark pattern that covers the outside of the midfoot and tongue. Every detail on the shoe is colored the opposite of the original Aqua pair, including the lace jewels. Hidden 25th anniversary and 10th anniversary (the latter for the G-SNK series) details are found on the inside of the sneaker.
The atmos x adidas ZX 8000 G-SNK 10 Ura will release June 13, 2025, exclusively via atmos online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, retail is set at ¥18,700 (approx $130). Craig Bell happily talks about sneakers or as he calls them "trainers" every day of the year. An avid Bradford City fan, he's also a big supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles. He will forever profess that Cricket is better than Baseball and that Rugby League is better then Rugby Union. Among his many hot takes, he believes the adidas ZX range is the pinnacle of sneaker design.
