Sitting in the rural seaside village of Flimby, the surroundings at New Balance’s UK factory inspire visions of long walks in the woods, cups of tea next to crashing waves, and plenty of local wildlife. The latest Made in UK 991v2 channels one of the area’s favorite wild animals, the fox.
First seen in a quick photo tucked into the New Balance Made in UK Fall/Winter 2025 lookbook that also featured photos of an orange and grey fox, the Gold Earth 991v2 is covered in orange suede throughout the upper, with orange mesh, and grey stabilization panels breaking up the mostly monochrome design. The N logo on the side panel is black in the middle with a grey border, and the thick sole is white in the forefoot and cream in the heel with ABZORB pods adding a hint of translucent tan.
A Made in UK catalog staple, the 991v2 has had a huge 2025, dropping in a slew of earth tones and bright suede colorways to match anything you could pull out of your closet. The model was also featured in collabs with Dover Street Market and Verdy, while a new collab on the 991v1 was previewed in the latest Aime Leon Dore lookbook. As New Balance continues to look towards the future with new models, it can be hard to get away from just how clean and versatile the 99X line is, and we’re glad they agree.
The New Balance Made in UK 991v2 Gold Earth will be released September 11, 2025, through select New Balance retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $250.
