Caitlin Clark Kobe PEs

There is not a single sneaker (potentially) releasing in 2026 that could either delight or enrage an entire nation like Caitlin Clark’s debut signature shoe with Nike. Over two very hyped seasons in the WNBA that have seen the league turned upside down because of the attention she brings, both good and frustratingly bad, Nike and Clark have been hard at work developing her first signature model. While we have yet to see the sneaker, Clark did drop her signature logo, headlined a new commercial, and dropped merch to commemorate the unveiling of her logo. Nike and Caitlin are setting the stage for something special.

In the meantime, the sneakers that Clark has been wearing are keeping the complaints at bay for now. Thanks to her preference and association with Kobe Protros, Caitlin has been the recipient of the most buzzworthy player exclusives, whether they are released to the public or not. As the sneaker world - not to mention the wider culture that uses Clark as a cudgel for their agendas - awaits what’s next for Caitlin, we’re keeping track of all of the Kobe player exclusives she has worn in the WNBA so far.

First Worn: July 20, 2024

Available To The Public: No

Nike had something special in store for Caitlin Clark and other 2024 WNBA All-Stars on the Nike roster as they were given a special colorway of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro in Hot Pink and Poison Green. While not exclusive to Clark per se, getting the honor to rock a Kobe player exclusively on one of the league’s biggest nights is not a bad deal. Clark went on to have a mostly forgettable performance in her All-Star debut, but Arike Ogunbowale showed out in the Kobes with 34 points and the All-Star Game MVP honors.

First Worn: July 31, 2024

Available To The Public: No

To the shock of no one who’s been paying attention to Caitlin’s sneaker game since her arrival into the mainstream consciousness, her first player exclusive sneaker that’s exclusive to her was a Kobe 5 Protro, a model she frequently wore during her final season in Iowa. Featuring a bright yellow upper, gold swoosh, black collar and heel, and a gradient midsole the transitions from yellow to black, it feels like a nod to her Iowa days right as she’s about to step into the world of the W. Others contend that the black is actually a dark blue, which is fine, but we’re not going to turn this into a “what color is the dress” situation until Caitlin clarifies or Nike drops these at retail.

Nike Kobe 6 Protro Caitlin Clark Armory Blue PE

First Worn: August 30, 2024

Available To The Public: Yes (released November 12, 2025)

You’re probably wondering what Light Armory Blue, White, and Baltic Blue have to do with Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever squad? The answer is not a whole lot since the Fever don’t use those colors. If anything, the light blue and grey actually vibes more with the colors of the Chicago Sky, the team of fellow 2024 WNBA rookie and media-created rival Angel Reese*. Maybe it’s just a coincidence or maybe it’s a subtle troll by Nike showing Reese what could have been if she had signed with them instead of Reebok. All of that aside, this PE was actually released to the public a year later, one of the few that have made it to retail thus far.

*They don’t play the same position and their personalities are worlds apart. They just happened to talk extraordinary amounts of trash to each other at the best - or worst - possible time when the world was watching Clark’s rise during the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Available To The Public: No

During the first of a two-game series against the Las Vegas Aces, Clark debuted a gradient pair of the Nike Kobe 6. The multi-color effort begins at the center of the sneaker with a brooding black that gradually gets brighter, transitioning into navy blue and green before bursting into a bright lime finish on the midsole, tooling, and heel. A yellow Swoosh sits atop the upper to provide a contrast, as if to simulate the vibrant pop of a snake’s eye.

First Worn: September 24, 2024

Available To The Public: Yes (released June 30, 2025)

It took a few months into her rookie season, but we finally got the first true Caitlin Clark Kobe PEs in the colors of her team as she was about to make her playoff debut. It’s a relatively simple colorway at first glance, with the navy blue covering most of the shoe from the upper, collar, midsole, and tooling. Where it becomes a sneaker worthy of the player-exclusive designation is in the gradient finish on the Swoosh’s outline, tongue, and heel clip that goes from Bright Crimson to University Gold. While there’s no Caitlin branding on the sneaker, the frenzy over these every time there was even a retail release was indicative of her popularity.

First Worn: May 17, 2025

Available To The Public: Spring 2026

To kick off the 2025 WNBA Season, Caitlin Clark wore a Nike Kobe 5 PE that celebrated her 2024 Rookie of the Year Award and the photo commemorating the moment. Unlike the Armory Blue PE from the previous year, there was no mistaking what team the sneaker represented with its university red hits atop a metallic silver upper with a glossier finish on the heel counter. Initially, Caitlin claimed that this PE was going to stay in her collection, but all signs point to a Spring 2026 release, which has been an ongoing theme when it comes to her sneakers.

Nike Kobe 6 Protro Caitlin Clark Bella PE

First Worn: June 14, 2025

Available To The Public: No (for now… maybe…)

Caitlin Clark’s beloved golden retriever Bella was the inspiration for this highly personal player-exclusive Kobe 6 colorway. As you might expect with a sneaker that’s based on a golden retriever, the sneaker’s faux snake-inspired upper, midsole, and outsole come in varying shades of tanned brown that are complemented by a golden Swoosh and Kobe sheath logo and a pink tongue. The signature feature is a picture of Bella on the insole, completing the tribute. Unlike other Kobe PEs for Caitlin, there was immediate speculation that this colorway would get a 2026 release, although no timeframe has been given.

Unfortunately Bella passed away a few months after Caitlin wore these PEs. Sending love, condolences, and well wishes to Caitlin and all the pet parents out there who've lost a Bella in their lives.

Nike Kobe 6 Protro Cookie Monster PE
Nike Kobe 6 Protro Cookie Monster PE

First Worn: July 13, 2025

Available To The Public: No

Cookie Monster is no stranger to sneaker collabs, having graced everything from Vans Sk8 Hi’s to Reebok Club C’s to Puma Suedes and everything in between. What we have yet to see is an official collaboration between Cookie Monster’s Sesame Street and Nike/Jordan Brand, although you won’t find a shortage of customs out there wishcasting to see something a little more official in the future. But before we get there, we’re gonna have to settle for teases like Jordan Poole’s Nike GT Cut 3 Milk and Cookies PE (which was actually released) and Caitlin Clark’s PE. Featuring a perfect blue upper that matches Cookie Monster, the cookie reference can be found on the tongue with a Kobe sheath logo that might as well be a chocolate chip.

First Worn: July 19, 2025

Available To The Public: No

Injuries prevented Team Captain Caitlin Clark from suiting up for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, but sneakerheads were not going to be denied an opportunity to see her in a Kobe Protro PE. Utilizing the same colors as her Indiana Fever PE that dropped at retail, the yellow and bright crimson take on a more featured role in the overlay with a gradient finish. The result is a more vibrant and eye-catching Kobe 5 that fans would eat up if they ever released. Clark would wear the PEs during practice sessions and on the sidelines of the All-Star Game while cheering on her team.

First Worn: December 12, 2025

Available To The Public: No

After the unnecessary drama that surrounded her omission from the 2024 Olympics roster, it’s safe to assume that barring injury, Caitlin Clark will suit up for Team USA in the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. She was part of the 18 players who participated in the first training camp this past December, and true to her sneaker form, she showed out in a new Nike Kobe 5 Protro PE in Team USA colors with a white upper, red and blue gradient overlay, and a blue and white speckled heel clip. Kobes in the red, white, and blue are not an uncommon sight at Team USA training camps for both the women’s and men’s squads, but this is the first time Clark is getting PE treatment as well.

First Worn: January 22, 2026

Available To The Public: No, but the 2011 Kobe 6 Supreme Chaos is available at resale

Shoutout to the Indiana Fever social media team for doing the Lord’s work and providing us with content that manages to catch Caitlin Clark rocking player exclusives that might never be seen by the public. For her 24th birthday, the team surprised Clark with a birthday cake shaped in her #22 jersey number. As Caitlin checks out the cake, we see her in a new Kobe 6 PE that channels the energy of the legendary Kobe 6 Supreme Chaos from 2011. While the original uses volt on the swoosh and tooling, Caitlin’s PE is more a vibrant green with an almost glow-in-the-dark energy. A few years ago, there were rumors of a Kobe 6 Supreme Protro that never came to pass, but with Caitlin’s new PE spotted, we could be shifting to an alternate version instead.

Nike Kobe 6 Protro Caitlin Clark The Parent Trap PE

First Worn: February 6, 2026

Made Available To The Public: No, although Caitlin is giving away a pair to someone who guesses the theme of the PE

The seal has been broken, and now we’ve got Caitlin wearing mismatched player-exclusive Kobes for the first time. Not everybody and every sneaker can pull off the style, as various What The sneakers from Nike over the years have shown that just because you can mix it up doesn’t mean you should. Thankfully, the Nike Kobe 6 is a proven commodity in the mismatched sneaker world thanks to the Hollywood 3D colorway from 2011 that’s getting a retro release in 2026. So when Caitlin wears mismatched Kobe 6s, it’s easy work for her and Nike. The theme behind the yellow and blue pair has yet to be officially revealed, although we think it has to do with the Disney classic The Parent Trap starring Lindsay Lohan.
