The WNBA remains on an upward trajectory, with the league expanding to two new cities, viewership continuing to rise, and players becoming household names off the court. For Caitlin Clark, who was sidelined for most of the 2025 season due to a groin injury, 2026 will be a hallmark year for her. Not only will she return to action on the court, but she’ll be doing so with a signature sneaker from Nike.
In April 2024, it was announced that Caitlin Clark had signed an eight-year $28 million contract with Nike. While she previously had an NIL deal with The Swoosh that started during her time at Iowa, this new deal paved the way for Clark to get her own signature sneaker. Later, Nike CEO Elliot Hill confirmed that she was getting her own model, with Caitlin’s signature logo revealed in August of this year. Since then, Nike has dropped a handful of apparel pieces with her interlocking CC logo, and most recently released an advertisement that marks her first brand anthem as a signature athlete.
What do we Know About Caitlin Clark’s Signature Sneaker with Nike?
At the time of this writing, there are no images of Caitlin Clark’s Nike sneaker, but her recent appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast revealed plenty of information about the sneaker.
Clark told the Kelce brothers that she will debut her Nike CC 1 on court this season. “It’s been in the works for quite some time… I’m wearing it on the court this coming season.” The WNBA season starts in May and ends in September, so expect to see Caitlin rock her sneaker throughout the season. This also gives us somewhat of a hint on when we can expect to see the sneaker hit retail. Typically, a player will debut their sneaker on-court and then drop it a few months later.
“The technology that we’re gonna put into it isn’t anything that they’ve ever put into a basketball shoe before," said Clark. Prior to making this statement, she broke down her preferences for cushioning setups on different Nike Kobe models, with the Kobe 5 and Kobe 6 being her two favorite sneakers. Some sneakers only feature cushioning technology in the heel, not the forefoot, which Clark dislikes, as it makes her feel as though she is directly on top of the hardwood. She made sure that her model contains full-length cushioning.

Colorways of the sneaker were also mentioned on the podcast, with Clark teasing that she’s got a Kansas City Chiefs colorway in mind. While there aren’t any other confirmed colorways, it’s not hard to imagine that she will put out pairs to represent the Indiana Fever and the Iowa Hawkeyes. She’s worn plenty of player-exclusive Nike Kobes that take inspiration from her personal life and some of her favorite things, including her dog Bella, the Cookie Monster, and her Rookie of the Year award.
Expect to see Caitlin Clark’s signature Nike sneaker launch sometime in 2026 through Nike and select retailers online. As we get more information on the shoe, we’ll be sure to update this article and keep you informed in real-time via the Sole Retriever mobile app.
