The Samba just doesn’t want to quit. While you’d think that a sneaker that’s been hyped for years would finally start to cool down, drops like the brand new adidas Samba OG Green Snakeskin keep pulling us right back in. One of the latest colorways to hit the legendary soccer shoe, it might also be one of the greatest.
It’s no secret that exotic animal patterns have been taking over the sneaker world as of late. We’re talking cow spots. We’re talking cheetah print. We’re even talking fish scales. But nothing is as timeless or as versatile as classic snakeskin. And while the Samba has been blessed with thousands of makeovers over the past eight decades, this latest version feels like one of the boldest yet, striking the perfect balance between fashion-forward and heritage-inspired.

For this rendition, the entire upper is wrapped in faux snakeskin that both looks and feels incredibly luxe. Painted in a lush Court Green, it gives off a sheen that wouldn’t feel out of place on a four-figure handbag. Complementary laces tie everything together, while Cream White leather accents hit the Three Stripes, tongue, and heel for contrast.
Even with its extravagant update, the Green Snakeskin doesn’t stray too far from its roots. The classic gum sole – a Samba signature since the '40s – makes its return here, delivering grip and grounding the design in tradition. The look is then completed with the legendary adidas Trefoil logo, rounding off a shoe that’s equal parts archival and adventurous.
The adidas Samba OG Green Snakeskin is set to release sometime in Fall 2025 via adidas and select retailers both online and in-store for $100. Need a pair?
