The FIFA World Cup is one of the most-watched televised events in history, with hundreds of millions across the globe tuning in every four years. Even with soccer (sorry, football) not carrying the same cultural weight here in the States as it does overseas, Americans take pride in our national team’s mostly futile attempts to win it all. All of North America will be even more involved this time around as host of the 2026 World Cup, and brands have already begun teasing their special releases. One team who looks to play with a lot of energy on and off the pitch next year is Japanese streetwear titan BAPE, who is dropping a collection of footwear and apparel with frequent collaborator, adidas.

The two partners have one of the longest-standing relationships in the game, with BAPE first teaming up with the Three Stripes in 2003. Since then, the duo has become nearly inseparable, launching dozens of projects over the years. Most recently, BAPE and adidas teamed up on a pack of Superstars in Spring 2025.

Within this World Cup collection, BAPE adds some of its most recognizable design motifs to three different sneakers: the adidas HRMY, Campus 00s, and the Samba. If you’ve been following BAPE news recently, you’ll have already seen the HRMY, which leaked at the end of June. The newly unveiled model combines two different 2000s running series, the Harmony and Adistar, to create a retro-futuristic design that taps directly into the current trend of mesh runners.

While the HRMY is plastered with loud ABC Camo, the Campus 00s and Samba are finished in clean and simple color palettes. The Campus 00s features faux croc premium Italian leather on the upper, with inspiration coming directly from Virgil Abloh’s unreleased collaboration on the BAPE STA. Like other BAPE x adidas projects, they split branding duties, applying BAPE’s logo to the lateral of the right shoe and medial of the left, and vice versa for the Three Stripes.

Finally, the adidas Samba follows a similar mismatched branding motif, but with BAPE’s iconic SKULL STA face added to the toe. The traditional suede T-toe overlay is removed in favor of a plastic material that forms the aforementioned logo. Other details include an ABC Camo-covered insole, forest green accents on the midfoot logos and heel tab, and a gum sole unit.

Alongside all of the footwear is a striking clothing capsule. Included are jerseys inspired by the 1994 World Cup team kits, like the long-sleeve star jersey (Team USA) and a short-sleeve jersey (Japan’s 1994 flame kit). The T-shirt, hoodie, jorts, and pants feature classic BAPE branding details like “APE SHALL NEVER KILL APE,” APE heads, and ABC Camo. Accessories like a scarf, hat, and Trefoil shoulder bag complement the rest of the clothing and sneakers.

The BAPE x adidas World Cup Collection will be released February 2026 through BAPE, adidas, and possibly select retailers online and in-store. The sneakers are priced at $200 (HRMY) and $160 (Campus 00s and Samba).
