Salehe Bembury has been busy lately. From working with Tyrese Haliburton at Puma to launching his own independent Spunge footwear brand, the renaissance man of sneaker collabs had seemingly put his once-ubiquitous Crocs Pollex Clog to the side, with less frequent releases and subsiding hype. The thumbprint slip-on is still here, though, and the latest colorway comes as one of Crocs’ famed artist partnerships, bringing the smiling faces of pop artist Kenny Scharf to Salehe’s intricately molded design.
Announced in an editorial video shot in studio showing Scharf creating one of his instantly recognizable spray-painted cartoon faces, the icon of the 1980s NYC art scene paints in a pair of his new collab Crocs. The colorway starts with a white base but covers it in a mix of greenish yellow and vibrant blue, swooping ghostly background colors with a series of all-over print faces done in Scharf’s style, with cartoonishly bulbous noses, wide eyes, and menacing smiles.
Bembury’s “Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job” collaboration series debuted last year with a Pollex Clog made in collaboration with Futura, and continued with artists Jonas Wood and Nina Chanel Abney. Scharf is the latest of Bembury’s artist friends to get the thumbs up, and with only 1,000 pairs made, we have no doubt that these will go extremely fast.
The Kenny Scharf x Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog will be released November 14, 2025 through Crocs in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is still TBD. For all the latest Crocs collab news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
