LOOK GREAT PLAY GREAT: NFL Week 3’s Best Tunnel Fits
Published
Before we get to watch the Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions face off for Monday Night Football, we’ve got to look back at what happened in the NFL on Sunday. Outside of the wild blocked kick to secure the Philadelphia Eagles the W in the final seconds, CeeDee Lamb's injury, and the surprising performance from Marcus Mariota in place of an injured Jayden Daniels for the Commanders, NFL stars showed out with their tunnel fits ahead of the games.
Continuing our weekly series, we’ve rounded up the best tunnel fits from week 3 of the NFL season. Below is our starting 11 in no particular order.
Adam Thielen

After making an appearance on week 2’s best cleats list for his Mache-customized Air Jordan 1 Lows, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has made an appearance on LOOK GREAT PLAY GREAT by rocking one of the rarest and most expensive AJ 1 Lows of all time: the Dior x Air Jordan 1 Low. Originally retailing for $2,000, current market prices are hovering over $5,000.
Antonio Hamilton Sr.

With this author being a Commanders fan, you can’t expect a weekly NFL list without DC’s own being represented throughout. Antonio Hamilton of the Commanders enters our best tunnel fits list (even though he was pictured in the parking lot) with his selection of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low Lemonade. Virgil Abloh’s legacy will continue with a new Air Force 1 Low in Sesame dropping later this year, but will that pair stack up to the original Off-White Air Force 1s from years prior?
Bobby Wagner

The perennial sneaker king of the Washington Commanders, Bobby Wagner showed out last week on the field with a pair of Jordan 11 cleats, but this time he’s made our tunnel fit list with an if-you-know-you-know pair of Jordan 1 Lows. Wagner laced up Rui Hachimura’s Japan-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG from earlier this year.
Brandon Coleman

It’s kind of hard to exclude Travis Scott from this list on a weekly basis with so many players wearing one of his many Nike or Jordan Brand collabs. That’s the case here with Brandon Coleman of the Commanders (ok, last one I promise), who laced up the original triple collab fragment design AJ 1 Low from 2021. Hopefully Brandon and the rest of us are lucky in November when the latest pair from the trio of Hiroshi, La Flame, and Jordan Brand hits shelves.
Dee Winters

You really can’t pass up on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Chicago whenever it graces shelves. The pair was last released under Jordan Brand’s Reimagined line in 2022, adding a pre-aged aesthetic to the sneaker. Dee Winters obviously subscribes to this belief as the 49ers linebacker was spotted wearing the Reimagined Lost & Found AJ 1s ahead of San Fran’s 1-point victory against the Cardinals.
Greg Rousseau

A rare adidas Yeezy sighting on the feet of an NFL player emerged over the weekend thanks to Greg Rousseau of the Buffalo Bills. He laced up a pair of the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 in the Mauve colorway, the same pair that Ye wore during his iconic Kids See Ghosts performance with Kid Cudi at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw in 2018. Man… what a time.
Jalen Hurts

The face of Jordan Brand’s NFL roster, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is always rocking the latest and greatest from The Jumpman. Instead of blasting us with color, like he did back during training camp in the Trunner O/S University Red, he decided to keep it lowkey with a pair of the Air Jordan 3 Retro Black Cat. He’ll probably be lacing up the Black Cat 4s once those hit shelves later in November.
Lamar Jackson

As one of the best QBs in the NFL, it’s strange that Lamar Jackson is still a sneaker free agent. While he might be missing out on the bag from a Nike or adidas (don’t think he really needs it though, he’s projected to near the $300 million mark in career earnings based on his current contract), this does give him the freedom to wear whatever kicks he wants on and off the field. Following up on his choice of the Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low Bubbles in week 2, Jackson wore a pair of the Jordan 14 Ferrari while wearing a graphic T-shirt featuring Kobe Bryant.
Jarrian Jones

You’ve been beaten over the head with this sentiment, so forgive us, but Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4 Retro Brick by Brick is likely going to be the sneaker of the year for 2025. This writer subscribes to that statement, and it’s likely Jarrian Jones of the Jacksonville Jaguars agrees as he was spotted wearing the pair heading into Sunday’s game against the Texans.
Jelani Woods

Even in the world of professional football, Kobe Bryant is considered a legend. His Mamba Mentality has hit the gridiron countless times in the 2020s, especially with Nike officially releasing the Kobe 6 Grinch and Reverse Grinch in cleated form. Jelani Woods may not have been able to take the field on Sunday for the Jets, but he did show out wearing the Kobe x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro in the Soft Yellow colorway.
Travis Etienne Jr.

Ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars' matchup against the Houston Texans, the Jags’ Travis Etienne Jr. entered the stadium wearing (arguably) one of the best Nike SB Dunk Low collabs of the last decade. That’s of course the StrangeLove x Nike SB Dunk Low, which launched in 2020 just as the Dunk hype train was reaching an all-time high. Even with prices cooling across the Dunk category, it still fetches quite a price premium on the aftermarket. The last sale on StockX was $852.
