The WNBA playoffs are officially underway, and it’s been a great set of matchups so far. Outside of the Lynx sweeping the best of three series against the Valkyries, the Mercury vs. Liberty and Storm vs. Aces series are tied at one a piece, making tonight and tomorrow’s slate of games must-watch TV. While we love to talk W, we’re actually here to discuss the sneakers worn by the women in the league.
There are more signature sneakers from active WNBA players than ever before (and more on the way), and even outside of these signature athletes, players in the league are getting more attention than ever for their footwear choices. Thankfully, KixStats compiled the top 10 shoes by minutes played in the 2025 WNBA regular season, and some of these may surprise you.
10. Jordan Heir - 3,463 Minutes

Jordan Brand officially unveiled its first performance sneaker designed with input from female athletes during WNBA All-Star Weekend in 2024. Since then, the model has launched in dozens of colorways, including a collaboration with Paolo Banchero and a WNBA All-Star-themed pair for the 2025 event. It’s great to see the WNBA take a liking to the sneaker, but let's hope Jordan Brand gives one of its athletes a signature sneaker in the coming years.
9. Nike Ja 2 - 3,572 Minutes

With the WNBA playing during the NBA’s offseason, players are usually stuck with last season’s signature sneakers. That’s the case with Ja Morant’s line, as his Nike Ja 3 only launched at the end of July, right before the WNBA All-Star break. Still, the league took a liking to his second model, which features Phylon foam and Zoom Air cushioning.
8. adidas Dame 9 - 3,731 Minutes

One of only two adidas sneakers to make the list, the adidas Dame 9 has made its mark on WNBA courts throughout the 2025 season. Multiple WNBA stars were spotted with player exclusive colorways, including Chelsea Gray who received a Froot Loops-inspired colorway from adidas back in August.
7. adidas DON Issue 6 - 3,858 Minutes

Another adidas sneaker to crack the top 10 is Donovan Mitchell’s adidas DON Issue 6. While he just launched his seventh sneaker in July, most of the 2025 WNBA season featured his sixth model. Like the Dame 9, the DON 6 was spotted in an array of player-exclusive makeups for stars of the W, including Satou Sabally.
6. Nike Kobe 4 Protro - 4,041 Minutes

The first of three Nike Kobe sneakers on this list is the Nike Kobe 4 Protro. The model has become a fan favorite in leagues across the globe, though Nike didn’t focus too much on the sneaker this year. There were some restocks for Kobe Day in August, but outside of that, the only Kobe 4s to release this year were the FC Barcelona collaboration and the CHBL colorway, the latter being exclusive to China.
5. Nike A’One - 5,399 Minutes

A’ja Wilson’s on top. Top. Top. While the results for the 2025 WNBA MVP are still not out (we have high hopes for A’ja), Wilson can proudly proclaim she had one of the best signature sneaker debuts ever. Her Nike A’One sold out in minutes on release day, and it has since become a staple on the WNBA court. There’s plenty of colorways coming throughout the WNBA offseason, and we are expecting her second sneaker, the A’Two, to hit shelves near the start of the 2026 season.
4. Nike Kobe 5 Protro - 7,072 Minutes

Again, Kobe Bryant’s signature sneaker line cracks the list with the Nike Kobe 5 Protro sitting at number 4 overall. While Caitlin Clark only contributed 254 minutes to this total, she was the de facto face of the sneaker throughout the 2025 season. Her first Nike Kobe PE to be released was an Indiana Fever-themed Kobe 5, and she’s launching another Kobe 5 PE based on her Rookie of the Year award in 2026. We are also expecting Caitlin's own signature shoe to hit shelves in the future.
3. Nike Kobe 6 Protro - 9,250 Minutes

Kobe Bryant’s love for the WNBA will forever be immortalized through the Nike Kobe 6 Protro WNBA, which launched for this year’s All-Star Game. It became a staple on the court, but even outside of this WNBA-themed colorway, the Kobe 6 Protro has always been a fan favorite of the W. Last year, it hit number one on the list, clocking in 8,793 minutes.
2. Nike GT Cut 3 - 9,645 Minutes

Another bonafide staple across global basketball leagues, the Nike GT Cut 3 being number two really is no surprise. Nike first launched the shoe at the beginning of 2024, and it’s been a favorite ever since. However, 2026 will see the GT Cut 4 finally hit shelves, so maybe it’ll be time for the GT Cut 3 to take some rest.
1. Nike Book 1 - 10,915 Minutes

Devin Booker’s first signature sneaker with Nike, the Nike Book 1, sits proudly atop the list of the Top 10 shoes by minutes played in the 2025 WNBA regular season. During the 2024 season, the Book 1 ended up at number three with 5,629 minutes, nearly doubling its time on the court for the 2025 season. Expect to see Devin Booker’s shoes on the list next season, though that’ll likely be his second signature model, the Nike Book 2, which launches in Spring 2026.
