The NBA off-season is winding down, and players are putting in final reps to get ready for a new Larry O’Brien trophy chase. At the same time, sneaker brands are getting ready to drop a new season of signature sneakers. For Suns star Devin Booker, the two pre-season rituals became the same this week, when he was spotted training in a blurred-out pair of kicks.

In an Instagram video posted by famed NBA trainer Chris Brickley at his Manhattan skyscraper training facility, Booker can be seen putting in work to get his turnaround jumper and off-the-dribble three game tuned up, but what’s on his feet can’t be recognized. Using a blur filter on the video, Brickley deleted Booker’s footwear from the footage, giving pretty clear hints to what he’s wearing.

After a criticized initial rollout of his low-top Nike Book 1, we’re looking forward to seeing what the Book 2 has in store, and if the blurred footwear on the Phoenix guard is any indication, the info is coming sooner than later. We previously saw CAD renderings of a purported Nike Book 2 earlier this year, but this is the first time Devin himself has given any teaser toward his second signature sneaker.

Nike is still dropping new colorways of the Book 1, and WNBA players are loving them on the court, but we have high hopes that the Book 2 will be a stronger showing for the Suns’ sharp shooter.
