Nike’s connection to youth basketball spans the globe. Since 2004, Nike signature athletes, such as LeBron James and Kevin Durant, have visited more than 20 cities throughout Greater China to inspire the next generation of hoopers. One of the ways Nike grows the game internationally is their work with CHBL (Chinese High School Basketball League), crafting special pairs that represent them like the recent Book 1 and last year’s GT Cut 3. Adding to the list is an all-new Nike Kobe 4.
Shared by Vanessa Bryant on her Instagram, this new Nike Kobe 4 features a gradient pattern on the upper that, unlike the upcoming Kobe 9 EM Mambacita, comes in lightening and soft yellow. The more vibrant of these two shades starts at the toe and transitions back into a soft yellow shade around the collar. Kobe Bryant’s signature lands on the lateral heel counter of the right pair, while both feature black accents on the Swoosh and Kobe Sheath logo.
