When Ice Cream first launched the Board Flip sneaker with Reebok in 2005, the shoe was a perfect intersection of Pharrell’s music industry cache, Nigo’s fashion world, and the skate industry facilitated by team riders like Terry Kennedy and Jimmy Gorecki. Now, 20 years later, Ice Cream is back with a retro of the Board Flip, and after selling out the first run of green and pink pairs with the help of Gorecki, Ice Cream is turning to rapper Don Toliver to bring back the music side of things.

The Don Toliver x Ice Cream Board Flip Banana Split is getting a limited, 72-hour drop through Toliver’s webstore in a collab colorway exclusive to the rapper. The Banana Split colorway is an OG blend of yellow and dark pink from the original mid-2000s Ice Cream release, but this time around, the colorway

gets a Don Toliver hangtag to cement the collab.

In an exclusive conversation with Sole Retriever - more on that soon - Ice Cream Skateboards Head of Creative James West told us that the return of the Board Flip was in part spurred by Toliver reaching out to Pharrell to encourage a retro of one of his favorite shoes. That push from Toliver was all the Ice Cream team needed, and now, the Houston rapper not only got his wish, but became part of the rollout.

The Don Toliver x Ice Cream Reebok Board Flip Banana Split will be released November 5, 2025 through store.dontoliver.com. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is still TBD.
