Jimmy Gorecki is one of those industry figures who is always in the know. A Philadelphia pro skater in the LOVE Park era, Gorecki turned sponsorships with brands like Aesthetics and BBC into a career in fashion, starting brands like JSP and Standard Issue and creating LeBron’s favorite sweatsuit. In the sneaker world, Gorecki is probably best known for his spot on Pharrell’s original Ice Cream skate team, and now, the Philly OG is dropping hints of a return to the freezer aisle.

In a new Instagram post, Gorecki showed off an unboxed pair of Ice Cream x Reebok Board Flip sneakers in a classic green and pink watermelon colorway. Looking identical to the OG pair from 2005, the T-toe is pink, the upper is drenched in perforated green suede, the outsole is brown, and the white midsole gets a stripe of pink. The ice cream cone graphic is back on the heel, and the Ice Cream cloud logo is back on the tongue and heel.

With plenty of hype from skaters and sneakerheads alike in Gorecki’s comments section, he offered hints at the return of the shoe, telling one user to “meet me at Complex Con,” suggesting at least some kind of release on the way. Whether or not these will be a one-time-only release at the convention or just the launch of a wider release, well, that’s yet to be seen.

Amidst an industry-wide push to bring the 2000s back to prominence, the Ice Cream Board Flip is squarely inside its 20-year cycle, when fashion trends tend to come full circle.
