Sometimes what starts as an exclusive run gets enough juice that it turns into a real retail release. For Boston-based streetwear brand Brain Child, that looks to be the case on their first footwear partnership ever, as the previously expected 150-pair Reebok DMX Series 3000 collab now finds itself on the calendar for a full drop through Reebok.
The Brain Child x Reebok DMX Series 3000 Red Nebula first popped up on our radar last week, and immediately put Brain Child in the cerebellum of sneakerheads everywhere. As we get a closer look at the sunset gradient colorway on the chunky retro runner, though, it looks like the upcoming early drop at MassArt this week will be a preview of a larger drop later this month.
The Brain Child x Reebox DMX Series 3000 Red Nebula is one of the best pairs we’ve seen from the Reebok camp lately, starting with a crisp white structure behind a full foot of bright gradient that shifts from golden yellow at the toe to deep purple at the heel. Suffice to say, we’ll be stoked if the pair ends up dropping in more than the expected 150 pairs.
Brain Child’s Reebok DMX Series 3000 Red Nebula will be released on May 8 at MassArt via a first-come, first-served release, followed by a drop through Reebok on May 15, 2026. Retail is set at $140. For all the latest Reebok collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
