Nike’s basketball program has always been built on signature pro models. From the early days of Jordan to LeBron, Kobe, KD, Caitlin, and dozens in between, star power has driven The Swoosh to new heights. But ever since the GT line dropped in 2021, the inline basketball models have taken over courts from high school to the pros. The Zoom GT Cut has been so popular that Nike already brought back the OG, releasing new colorways of the modern hoops classic like they never skipped a beat.
The latest colorway of the GT Cut 1 comes in a high school hoops-friendly black and bright crimson. The upper is mostly black across the neoprene toebox and tongue, with a black reinforced mesh and red overlays on the side panels, plus a fiery gradient on the partial Swoosh flashing across the lateral side, moving from yellow to red. The real star of the shoe is the bright crimson sole that catches the eye from every angle.
It may not be a signature shoe, but Nike didn’t skimp out on the tech and protection in the GT Cut 1, building out the shoe with a full React drop-in sole, a Zoom Air unit, and parabolic Air Zoom Strobel cushioning for a solid blend of comfort and stability. The GT line has since evolved, with the GT Hustle 3 and GT Cut 3 Turbo stealing the show and the GT Cut 4 on the way, but the GT Cut 1 is still putting up numbers and holding steady.
The Nike Zoom GT Cut 1 Bright Crimson will be released in time for Holiday 2025, through select Nike retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $190.
