Spongebob Squarepants x adidas Collection

The adidas Superstar is a heavyweight champion in the sneaker industry, and if you’re talking cartoons, it doesn’t get more iconic than everyone’s favorite pink starfish from Bikini Bottom. In what we can only describe as a stroke of pure genius, The Three Stripes has blessed us with a shooting star of a sneaker, a Patrick Star Superstar.

Designed to make you feel like you’re wearing Patrick on your feet, the classic Superstar is covered in starfish pink suede with two-tone black and red stripes on the side, and a cream shell toe. The tongue logo features a drawing of Patrick’s face and his name alongside traditional adidas Superstar branding. Nods to Patrick Star continue with a second pair of laces designed like Patrick’s famous green and purple flowered shorts. The sole is a semi-translucent icy blue that reveals the floral clouds found in Bikini Bottom.

The SpongeBob SquarePants x adidas collection also features a SpongeBob-themed Stan Smith Freizeit in black and white. The dress shoe-esque version of the Stan Smith is made to mimic SpongeBob's shoes in the show, which are plain black with white laces. SpongeBob has already been featured in a number of sneaker collabs, including a pack of Crocs, Puma, and the Chinese basketball shoe brand 361.

The SpongeBob Squarepants x adidas Patrick Superstar was released on August 26, 2025 via JD Sports and Finish Line. A wider release alongside the SpongeBob x adidas Stan Smith Freizeit is expected in November 2025 through select adidas retailers in-store and online.
