AVAVAV knows how to have fun. The fashion label founded by Creative Director Beate Skonare Karlsson has made its own lane with well-made, well-thought-out jokes turned into clothing and accessories, influenced by the internet, for a culture that could use a little lightening up.

Three Stripes with a Smile

The latest AVAVAV x adidas collection picks up where the two brands left off with their last pack, adding two new colorways of distorted Superstars with wide toecaps and skinny middles that fit the foot but look a little clownish, in an artistic, sculptural way, of course. This time around, the Superstars arrive in a classic black leather colorway and a tan monochrome covered in short, shaved pony hair.

In addition to the Superstars, AVAVAV tried its hand at two pairs of the Megaride, deconstructing the squishy runner with a thin mesh upper. On a brown pair, a canvas overlay gives the mesh its structure, and on the other, a red-to-black suede gradient takes the best of the collection award. Both pairs feature a pulley tightening system instead of standard laces.

AVAVAV x adidas Spring/Summer 2026 Release Details

The AVAVAV x adidas Spring/Summer 2026 collection will be released May 22, 2026, through AVAVAV, adidas, and retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the Megaride pairs retail for $200, the black Superstar goes for $250, and the pony hair pair will run you $300.
