The custom sneaker industry has always had a mixed reputation, with some purists pushing back against any non-official colorway. But on the NFL gridiron, custom sneaker artists still run things, and celebrity custom maker Mache has always had his toe dipped onto the turf. The latest exclusive creation made by Mache took a recent Jordan 1 colorway and transformed it for the field.

The Mache custom Jordan 1 Voodoo cleat was made for Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen, taking the same blue and purple color blocking and themed stitching from the Zion Williamson Jordan 1 PE and adding a premium leather twist for the 35-year-old receiver. Thielen laced up the shoes on Sunday, but unfortunately, he didn’t have any catches in the Vikings’ win against the Lions.

The Jordan 1 Voodoo was a not-so-surprising hit and sold out fast after release. In an Instagram post showing off the custom cleats, Mache shouted out former Jordan Brand designer Kelsey Amy, who designed the Voodoo 1s before departing Jumpman.

Like all of Mache’s custom work, this pair won’t be available for sale and is a one-of-one handmade pair, and considering Thielen's goose eggs on the field yesterday, these might already be retired as a collection piece.
