Jordan Brand is bringing back the Jordan Trunner in 2025. The Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette was initially released in the early 2000s as one of the first non-basketball models from MJ’s label. It has since gained a cult following and is technically the first model Travis Scott worked on with Jordan Brand when he created a friends-and-family colorway of the sneaker. Alongside upcoming pairs like the Triple Black, Light Orewood Brown, and Luminous Green, the Trunner LX is coming in a Rare Air colorway.
Featuring hues reminiscent of other Rare Air Jordan releases from this year, including the Air Jordan 1 High, Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, and Air Jordan 11, this Jordan Trunner LX comes with a mismatched finish on the upper. The base materials and colors are identical, each featuring black mesh, cream quilted panels, and navy leather overlays. Still, the lockdown straps provide a different look to the shoe.

One pair features a red lockdown strap with tonal accents hitting the collar’s Velcro strap cover, while the other comes with green and red details. Jumpman and Jordan text on both pairs are done up in navy and red hues, as seen with the Jumpman on the pull tab and Jordan-branded patch. Direct nods to the Rare Air series are found on the insole, while the slip-on look is completed by a cream foam midsole and recycled rubber outsole.
The Jordan Trunner LX Rare Air will release in Fall 2025 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $130.
