The JJJJound x Puma Mostro Pack Releases Summer 2025

Justin Saunders’ JJJJound label remains at the forefront of minimalist fashion collaborations. The Montreal-based studio is on the verge of dropping its latest Asics project, two new colorways of the Gel-Kayano 14, and an update to the Gel-Quantum 360 Knit, but it’s got more up its sleeves for summertime footwear projects. Next up for JJJJound is a Puma collaboration.
Previous JJJJound x Puma projects tackled the Puma Suede, one of the brand's most conventional and safe designs. Still, this next project sees JJJJound bring its elevated aesthetic to the cult classic Mostro. The silhouette, which translates from Italian to "monster," was initially released in 1999 and combined a spiked sprinting shoe from 1968 and a surfing shoe from the '80s to create the avant-garde wild look. It's become subject to multiple collaborations and has earned a cult following in fashion as low-profile, thin-soled sneakers have become trendy.

Two colorways are present in this JJJJound collaboration on the Mostro, one in Deep Navy and the other in Chocolate. Both are constructed from a premium suede and leather upper, each utilizing suede for the base layer and leather on the tongue and sockliner. The tongue and base come in the same hue, while the lace set and sockliner contrast with a secondary hue. Embroidered branding for Puma is found via the midfoot formstrip, while JJJJound makes its mark on the heel tab. Finishing the design is the spiked sole unit, which extends onto the sidewall of the sole unit.
The JJJJound x Puma Mostro Pack will release in Summer 2025 through JJJJound, Puma, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
