Thankfully, Kevin Durant and Nike agreed to a lifetime contract in 2023, which means we’ll get drops from the Slim Reaper’s signature series for years to come. Not only do we expect the signature sneakers to grow in numbers, but for Nike to continue to retro previously released KD models. Next in line for the retro treatment is the KD 6, which has already been confirmed to be re-released in the Meteorology and Brazil colorways. Joining them is a retro of the PB&J.
Released as an original colorway during the KD 6’s first release in 2013, the PB&J brings the famous American sandwich to sneaker form with its color palette and the jelly-fied Swoosh. A grape jelly shade is used on the sockliner, KD logo on the tongue, and the aforementioned Swoosh across the lateral side of the upper, while black is used for the lace set, tongue, and KD logo on the heel. On the medial side, the yellow hue is removed in favor of more black. Finishing the design is the yellow and black sole unit featuring a visible Air unit in the heel.
Across all of Kevin Durant’s signature sneakers, the KD 6 remains the legendary NBA player’s favorite. In a recent interview on the Unguarded podcast, Durant was quoted as saying the best Nike KD sneaker is the KD 6. While many will argue the KD 4 is the better sneaker, both for its colorways and its original retail price being so cheap, you can’t really argue with the guy whose name is on the sneaker.
The Nike KD 6 PB&J will be released Spring 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set $145.
