Puma MB.05 Goes Highlighter Neon in Volt Colorway

LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets aren’t expected to contend for an NBA title next season, but that won’t stop the youngest Ball brother from racking up stats and highlights. Like everything Melo does, his new Puma MB.05 is bold and bright, and a new Volt colorway is about as bright as it gets.

A neon highlighter for your feet, the Puma MB.05 Volt is a two-tone colorway with a base of slime green on the reinforced mesh and textured synthetic upper and mid-shoe wings that cross the tongue and fly out on either side of the shoe. An overlay of black fiery Phoenix wing-like all-over print graphics covers the entire shoe, and Melo’s slogans “Not from here,” “1 of one,” and “be you” are written across the upper. The personal branding continues on the tongue with MELO written in large letters, and his winged number 1 logo included in the middle of the wings and the heel.

The NBA season is approaching fast, and high school players are already back in class, making it prime time for signature athletes across the league to release new colorways of their latest models. We’ve seen a handful of new shoes from Luka, Zion, LeBron, KD, Devin Booker, Ja Morant, and more in the past weeks, and the NBA heat isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

The Puma MB.05 Volt will be released in October 2025 through Puma and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
