LaMelo Ball took the performance basketball world by surprise with his initial signature Puma sneaker, the MB.01, in 2021. Since then, the MB series has expanded to four performance basketball models, multiple slides, and even lifestyle sneakers, though the mainline models are the most talked about. Following up on an extremely early first look back in December 2024, retailer images of the Puma MB.05 have emerged.
These first official retailer images display the World Tour colorway, which was revealed in the initial early leak, albeit with some differences. The Aunt Pearl-esque design comes in a mixture of purple and pink hues with silver, chrome, and pearl-like designs on the tongue, collar, and midfoot. Unlike the leaked version, the cross strap on the tongue is not made of plastic TPU material, and it's much more subtle, blending in a bit better than the original enlarged sample.

Various materials make up the upper, with the toebox featuring a textured synthetic material in a psychedelic, wavy finish, while the midfoot panel is done in an iridescent chrome mesh. Below this sits a pink netted mesh, while the heel is done in a diamond mesh pattern. Final details on the upper include the various motifs found on other MB models, like Melo’s “One of 1” phrase and his phoenix wing design. Down below sits a tonal pink foam midsole, likely with NITRO Foam technology, and an outsole with nods to LaMelo ball.
The Puma MB.05 World Tour will release sometime in 2025 through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, pricing and sizing details have not been confirmed.
