Jordan Release Calendar

Nike Basketball's Air Bakin first launched in 1997 and was worn on the court by the likes of Tim Hardaway. Shortly after its release, Nike changed the Air logo on the heel because the original design resembled the Arabic word for Allah. Subsequent releases of the Nike Air Bakin have featured the standard Nike Air logo.
The Nike Air Bakin does not see regular releases like many other retro Nike Basketball sneakers from the '90s. Instead, it's often limited to a small retro run or a bring back via a collaborative partner. Nike brought back the model in 2026 with GR colorways, but prior to this, Supreme revived the sneaker in 2023. The last retro run before 2026 came in 2014. Designed by Eric Avar, the Bakin comes with Air Max cushioning in the heel and a nubuck upper. Retro releases of the Air Bakin retail for $170
