A Sample Nike Kobe 1 Protro Noise Cancelling Appears Online
Published
In 2019, Kobe Bryant’s first signature sneaker, the Nike Kobe 1, took part in the Noise Cancelling Pack that honored the first House of Innovation storefront in NYC for Nike. Specifically honoring the Black Mamba’s 61-point performance against the New York Knicks in 2009, the pair has become a fan favorite. Thanks to the well-known sample dealer depeche23mode on Instagram, we look at an early sample for the pair.
While the retail version of the Nike Kobe 1 Noise Cancelling featured an all-white and clear construction, this pair opts for some added color on the Swoosh logo on the midfoot. Here, we see a burgundy snakeskin applied to the lateral side with gold stitching details, while the medial features a golden snakeskin and purple stitching. The same clear tongue tag with Nike and Kobe branding, soundwave graphics, and a space to put your name is found up top.

The rest of the sneaker opts for a clean white build, including the base layer, laces, collar, and portions of the sole unit. Below sits a silver carbon fiber panel on the heel and midfoot of the sole unit, the same as the retail version. Finishing the design is the tonal outsole.
For fans of the Nike Kobe 1, it’ll be some time before we start seeing Protro releases again, so for now, enjoy looking at this unreleased version. If you like earlier Nike Kobe sneakers, the Kobe 3 is expected to return later in the year.
