When it comes to sneaker collabs, some brands like to keep you guessing with new colorways, patterns, and themes, but some of our favorite partnerships are from companies with a consistent design language that carries through from one silhouette to the next, one brand to another. Dutch skatewear brand Parra is one of the best in the industry when it comes to aesthetic consistency, and a new pair of collab Vans Old Skool 36s is hitting all the right vibes.
The Parra x Vans Old Skool 36 popped up out of the blue in a social media post from Spanish sneaker retailer sivasdescalzo. Keeping up the colorway and wavy suede paneling used on the Parra x Vans Half Cab collab from 2024, the shoe starts with a blue suede toebox and lace panel. Parra’s frequently used pink shade is added with more suede to the ankle and top half of the side panels in a wavy pattern. The bottom half of the side panels switches from more blue on the lateral side to black on the medial side, with orange suede covering the heel panel.

Parra co-branding is added to the insoles, and custom-drawn Off The Wall logos are featured on the tongue. In addition to the past Half Cab collabs, Parra has used the same colorway and wavy design on countless clothing collections and sneaker collabs with Nike SB on a handful of SB Dunks and an SB Blazer Low.
The Parra x Vans OTW Old Skool 36 doesn’t have a firm release date, sizing, or price info just yet, but is expected to drop sometime this month in Europe, with a stateside release hopefully following soon after. On sivasdescalzo’s Instagram story, they mention the raffle opens on January 7. For all the latest Vans collab news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
