LOOK GREAT, PLAY GREAT: NFL Week 14’s Best Tunnel Fits
Published
While we still have a few more weeks of the NFL season, those of us who played fantasy football this year finished our seasons this past weekend. Hopefully you avoided last place and some obscene drinking punishment or embarrassing stunt. To keep your mind off of impending doom, why not take a look at what the players who helped (or hurt) your team this year wore in the final week of fantasy football regular-season action?
It’s once again time for Sole Retriever’s LOOK GREAT, PLAY GREAT: NFL Edition. Like all weeks prior, we’ve listed our starting 11 NFL squad based on the best sneakers worn in tunnel walks throughout week 14’s slate of games.
Byron Murphy II

You can never go wrong with a Jordan 4. Byron Murphy II of the Seattle Seahawks agrees as he was spotted wearing the most recent Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 ahead of his match-up against another bird, the Falcons.
Cam Jordan

Having the last name Jordan and being signed to Jordan Brand means you can’t NOT rock a pair of Jordan sneakers. While Saints defensive end Cam Jordan made headlines in July for sharing images of the 1-of-180 Air Jordan 1 Low 85 Board of Greatness, this week he’s keeping things much more lowkey. In the tunnel, Jordan was seen wearing the Jordan Trunner O/S in the Archaeo Brown colorway.
Carrington Valentine

The hype train for Pharrell’s adidas collabs was stuck in the station for years, that was until he dropped the adidas Adistar Jellyfish. Since its debut in August, the pair continues to sell out in seconds no matter the colorway. Carrington Valentine of the Green Bay Packers is one of the lucky ones to have a pair, with the cornerback rocking a Packers-friendly Green colorway.
Emanuel Wilson

A surprise hit that ended up near the top of many Sneaker of the Year lists was the Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 Retro in bubblegum pink. The ultra-limited sneaker caused quite the controversy on “sneaker Twitter” with allegations of backdooring and scam friends-and-family links. Even still, everyone wants a pair. Emanuel Wilson is one of the few who were able to secure some, and the Packers running back decided to bust ‘em out ahead of Green Bay’s game against the Browns.
Jared Goff

Lions QB Jared Goff is making another appearance in our LOOK GREAT, PLAY GREAT series after pulling up to the stadium last week in the elusive Travis Scott x fragment design x Jordan 1 Low. He traded in one pair of hyped Jordan 1 Lows for another, this week spotted in the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG.
Kristian Fulton

The cross-sport appeal of Shai-Gilgeous Alexander doesn’t go unnoticed. Each week, at least one player in the NFL sports the reigning NBA MVP’s signature sneaker in the tunnel (and once even on the field), with Chiefs cornerback Kristian Fulton sporting the Butter Converse Shai 001 over the weekend.
Lamar Jackson

Arguably the biggest sports star that is a sneaker free agent, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens enters the tunnel in whatever brand he sees fit. This week, he’s back to wearing Air Jordan 14s, lacing up the Flint Grey 14s before facing off against the Steelers in a losing effort.
Patrick Mahomes

The Three Stripes have Patrick Mahomes locked up for years to come as the two just agreed to a contract extension that reportedly will see Mahomes get into the golf business. Of course, he’s going to take the tunnel walk in a pair of adidas sneakers, this week wearing last year’s Grinch-themed adidas Forum Lows in the Max colorway.
Quincy Williams

Ok… this list is supposed to primarily focus on sneakers, but we couldn’t pass up the ridiculous look Quincy Williams had before his Jets played the Dolphins. Zoom in and you’ll notice his blacked-out Timberland boots are actually a pair of Louis Vuitton Timbs, but the most eye-catching part of his outfit choice is his face paint. Williams leaned into the Gotham City rivalry jerseys being worn that day by getting Joker makeup done, complete with red lips and white face paint.
Quinshon Judkins

Vans had quite a stellar year, even if they’re not commanding the same attention as Travis Scott or Jordan Brand. The Cali-based skate label launched a series of collaborations that flew off shelves and surprisingly fetched nearly four-figures on the aftermarket, including projects with Satoshi Nakamoto. Quinshon Judkins of the Cleveland Browns mustered up the strength to cop the Army colorway of the Nakamoto pearlized Vans, which are selling for nearly $1,000 in many sizes on resale platforms.
Shedeur Sanders

Like father, like son. However, in Shedeur Sanders' case, this doesn’t necessarily apply to his NFL career. While his dad Deion was a superstar out of the gate, Shedeur fell to the fifth round and only got the starting gig for the Browns due to injuries to two other QBs. Still, like his dad, he’s showing up to gameday in Nike Diamond Turf sneakers.
