Basketball may be the bread and butter for Jordan Brand, and honestly, it's the first thing you think of when picturing the brand. But, they've dipped their toes in basically every category you can think of over the last few decades. In the Y2K era, the label worked on a series of trainers under the Trunner series, with the Trunner LX taking the cake as the most popular of these models. While we know it's coming back in several colors later this year, the Trunner series is expanding with the all-new Trunner O/S.
Inspired by the recent trend of mesh runners and "dad shoes," the silhouette features a mixture of suede and mesh and a large TPU shank on the midfoot extending from the outsole to the eyestays. This panel is inspired by '90s basketball models from Jordan Brand, specifically the Jordan Jumpman Team 1, and 2000s Trunner silhouettes. This initial look shows a mixture of archaeo brown and royal blue on the upper, the latter reserved for the mesh base, and the former used on the suede panels.
