Jordan Release Calendar

Nike and fashion label Comme des Garçons have had a long and fruitful relationship, featuring Air Maxes, Air Forces, and more, but over the weekend in Paris, we got a first look at what might be the most exclusive collab yet, a two-pack of Air Jordan 11s. But while CDG will be the first collaborator on the iconic eleventh Air Jordan, the brand hasn’t forgotten about its roots in pink Nike running classics.
The CDG Black x Nike LD-1000 comes from the CDG Black sub-label, covering the vintage long-distance running shoe in a black suede toe, thick black mesh on the side panels, and bright pink leather on the side panel Swoosh and heel tab. The tongue label and midsole get more hits of bright pink to round out the two-tone mix. White is added to the tongue, sockliner, and laces for a bit of bright contrast.

The LD-1000 has had a nice resurgence of late, releasing in an Aritzia collab colorway and holiday releases to celebrate the Year of the Horse and Japan’s Culture Day. Originally, the sneaker was created as a long-distance runner, but shortly after its release in 1977, Nike issued a recall on the model as the flared heel was causing injuries. That’s no longer an issue, because let’s be honest, who would run in these today with the tech that's out there now?
The CDG Black x Nike LD-1000 will be released Summer 2026 through CDG, Nike, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $110. For all the latest Nike collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
