Last month, Terrance Harvey, senior manager, Jordan Brand Retro Footwear, told Andscape that “The brand is working on taking the AJ11 into the collaboration space.” Huge news, as the precious Air Jordan 11, the model that Michael Jordan himself proclaims is his favorite, has never been released in a collaborative colorway with an outside partner. While Harvey later said the brand wasn’t ready to announce who would be in this collaborative space, Comme des Garçons did the announcing themselves as they previewed two Air Jordan 11 colorways during Paris Fashion Week.

CDG’s distinct minimal color palette and elevated design details are transferred to Mike’s 11th signature sneaker, with one pair done up in all-white and another in a stealthy all-black. The silhouette’s patent leather mudguard remains untouched, coming in the same shade as the premium leather upper, which replaces the usual ballistic nylon used on OG colorways of the model.

Debossed Jumpman branding on the lateral heel, 23 stamped on the heel, and Jumpman Jordan text on the tongue keep things classic, but CDG does bring attention to itself on its collab. Comme des Garçons Homme Plus is debossed on the medial side of the collar, and the same text is placed next to a Jumpman on the tongue. Final details include a tonal midsole and outsole, with the midsole now painted to cover the foam finish.

Over the last 30 years, we have seen promo samples and player-exclusive colorways of the Jordan 11 made for friends and family of Jordan Brand, but this CDG collab marks the first time the public will have a chance to own a collab Air Jordan 11. Some notable examples over the years include PEs for athletes like Randy Moss, CC Sabathia, Carmelo Anthony, Ray Allen, Derek Jeter, Chris Paul, and many, many more.

Typically, Jordan reserves the AJ 11 for fewer than five releases in a year, one or two low-tops in the summer and another one or two for the holiday season. However, to kick off the 30th anniversary of the sneaker (which technically began in November 2025), Jordan announced plans to release 9 different AJ 11s throughout Holiday 2025 and Spring 2026.

We saw a three-pack of city-inspired designs for Las Vegas, Houston, and Atlanta, two overseas exclusives for China and Japan, a retro of the Gamma Jordan 11, a pair part of the Rare Air pack, a new women’s exclusive Pearl colorway, and a kids’-exclusive pair.

There’s no specific release date announced just yet for the CDG x Air Jordan 11 Pack, but it was part of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 showcase, so expect a drop near the end of 2026. Retail hasn't been announced, but CDG typically inflates the retail price of any sneaker, so expect a major premium.

Now that CDG has officially opened the floodgates for collabs on the AJ 11, we should also expect other partners to get in on the action. Check below for imagery of both pairs of CDG AJ 11s, and download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest happenings in the sneaker world.
