Colorways for sneakerheads might steal the show, but when it comes to hoops, team-friendly options bring in the big bucks. Nike’s latest performance basketball shoe, the Nike GT Cut 4, is rolling out for 2026 in a handful of attention-grabbing iridescent and patent leather colorways. Beyond the glitz and glamor, the GT Cut 4 is also getting its fair share of jersey-matching two-tone mixes made for the wide world of team ball, from high school to AAU and everywhere in between.
The Nike GT Cut 4 University Gold features a bright yellow synthetic fabric across the lateral side panel, including the vented gills on the lower half. The yellow extends around the heel to the back of the medial side, where it transitions to a soft, breathable black fabric for the offset tongue and lace panels. The two-tone continues with a yellow outsole and a pair of two-tone black and yellow laces. As for tech, the sneaker is packed with full-length Air Zoom Strobel and ZoomX foam.

Tapping Paige Bueckers and Victor Wembenyama to debut bright iridescent multi-color pairs of the GT Cut 4, we’ve seen a handful of colorways since, including a white and gold Year of the Horse pair and a pink Kay Yow colorway. On the team side, we’ve also seen a red and black pair in an identical color blocking to this black and yellow colorway.
The Nike GT Cut 4 University Gold will be released February 26, 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $200. For all the latest Nike basketball news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
