Kyrie Irving’s seventh signature shoe with Nike, the Kyrie 7 (VII), was designed by Ben Nethongkome and sold in 2020. The Kyrie 7 design team created a unique and scientifically designed traction pattern for the silhouette. The Air Zoom Turbo unit was tweaked, again, opting for a curved shaped unit. The Kyrie 7 retained the Air Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot and featured a re-engineered traction pattern to support Irving's quick changes of direction. The mesh upper and the molded, padded collar offered a lightweight, secure fit.
The Kyrie 7 launched with four colorways representing facets of Irving's life: 'Icon of Sport', 'Expressions', 'Soundwave', and 'Special FX'. Each of these colorways told a unique story about Irving's love for music, film, and his creative expression.
