Nike Kyrie 5 Shoes

The Kyrie 5 (V) retailed in 2018 and was designed by Ben Nethongkome. Irving’s fifth signature is arguably his best— the Kyrie 5 had an aggressive tractiction pattern, a flytrap lockdown clamp on the tongue, and Nike’s latest Air Zoom Turbo technology. The wider Air unit flexes and moves as the hooper does on court. The Kyrie 5 had an overly exaggerated outsole that can be seen around the midsole. Launched in 2018, the Nike Kyrie 5 marked a significant evolution in the Kyrie Irving signature line. Benjamin Nethongkome’s design introduced new technology to match Irving's quick and unpredictable playstyle.

One of the main advancements was the introduction of Nike's Air Zoom Turbo in the forefoot, designed to contour underfoot and provide an explosive return of energy. The Kyrie 5 also featured a new lacing system, with Flywire cables that locked in the foot for a secure, custom fit.

Just like its predecessors, the Kyrie 5 showcased various elements inspired by Irving's personal life and beliefs. This included a nod to his Hamsa hand tattoo, references to his late mother, and collaborations with other famous series like SpongeBob SquarePants.

Originally retailing at $130, the resale value of the Kyrie 5 depends on the condition and specific colorway. Discover the Nike Kyrie 5's past and present on Sole Retriever today!
