New Balance and earth tones are like peanut butter and jelly; a perfect combo. With that said, the changing of seasons to fall and wintertime means that this color palette will be even more in style. To kick off the Boston brand’s Made in USA Fall/Winter 2025 collection, curated by Aime Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis, New Balance has prepped a 992 in a natural camouflage of dark browns and greens.

The upper is paneled in dark brown suede that blends seamlessly into the dark green mesh around it and olive-colored stability accents. The midsole is white in the forefoot, but transitions to a dark green in the heel with translucent ABZORB pods peeking through. Like every Made in USA New Balance, the Dark Camo 992 is produced in stateside factories with premium materials and handmade craftsmanship. The covert theme has spread through the 99X line for Fall, including a Dark Camo 990v6.
Fans of the 992 are happy the silhouette is finally back on the market. New Balance shelved the sneaker for virtually the whole first half of the 2020s, reviving it by partnering with the man behind one of the most sought-after 992s of all time, Joe Freshgoods. Since his Aged Well release, the model has appeared in collaboration with the likes of Kith, Action Bronson, and JFG’s Every Now and Then storefront. Expect to see a handful of different 992s as part of the brand's Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
The New Balance 992 Made in USA Dark Camo hit select stores early, but will see a wide release August 28, 2025. Available via New Balance and select retailers both online and in-store in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
