The sneaker game is allergic to plenty of styles, but over the past year or so, the industry has been far from lactose intolerant. Amidst a total embrace of animal prints across shoe brands, one barnyard grazer stands out as by far the most popular. From Nike and adidas to New Balance and Hoka, designers everywhere are mooing in the same direction.
At New Balance, the latest cow print pair extends the 1890’s loafer remix. The New Balance 1890A Cowprint takes after a classic white and black spotted cow, with a heavy dose of off-white hairy suede on the base structure and white and black cow fur on the vamp and side paneling underneath.

The 1890A has already crossed over into the animal print loafer zone with a snakeskin colorway in pale yellow earlier this year, and now, the fur is ready to keep you warm for the fall. The Black on the midsole and outsole matches the cow spots, and white rope laces match the rural farming theme.
The New Balance 1890A Cowprint will be released September 16, 2026, through New Balance and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $190. For all the latest New Balance collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
