New Balance has been crushing it lately, and the 1890 has been one of the brand’s brightest highlights. After debuting in a CDG collab preview followed by a limited snakeskin drop, a new pair is arriving for August in purple.
Black Patent and Purple Streaks
The New Balance 1890A Black Purple features a black base with shiny patent leather on the support structure and mesh filling in the toebox and side panels. Streaks of purple flash across the black patent to match the deep purple midsole and the lilac NB logo on the silver tongue tag.
The main attraction for the pair isn’t the patent or the purple, but the mix of a moccasin toe with a sporty 1890 sole. In addition to the black and purple mix, a raised black bumper runs along the lace panels and loops across the toebox. Finally, more shiny black sits underneath the purple midsole to complete the two-tone combo.
