From the pitch to the stands, Stone Island has long been a favorite in European soccer fashion. With the World Cup bringing that hooligan energy to every corner of the world this summer, Stone Island and New Balance are teaming up yet again to co-brand a pack of on-field cleats, curated clothing, and two pairs of the popular new 1890.
Khaki Badges for Cup Kicks
After getting a few previews of the pack and an up-close look at the green 1890 pair, New Balance and Stone Island have finally dropped pictures of the Khaki colorway ahead of its drop later this week. Just like its counterpart, the tan pair mixes olive green-tinged tough rip-stop mesh with synthetic tear-drop paneling in khaki off-white for a close, but not quite monochrome upper.
More khaki color is added to the suede paneling on the heel, with a midsole that matches the olive green rip-stop and weathered yellow ABZORB pods across the sole. A Stone Island badge is added to the tongue, and a small NB hit jumps off the heel. Finally, a deeper shade of khaki is added to the insoles with NB and Stone Island alternating on the right and left shoe.
