Glasgow, Scotland, is the home to a legendary few weeks in UK music history. In 1993, Oasis, The Verve, and Radiohead all played early shows at a local venue, with Oasis ending the month by securing a record deal. The venue, King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, is still going strong to this day, and holds claim to boosting the early careers of Florence + The Machine, Blur, Coldplay, and more. In a new Glasgow City Series sneaker exclusive to UK retailer size?, adidas is paying tribute to King Tut’s legacy and the city’s thriving arts scene.
The adidas Glasgow is the first time the Scottish city has been recognized in the adidas City Series since the original pair in 2010, bringing it full circle with the 25th anniversary of size? and the shop’s year-long run of City Series exclusives. So far, the Three Stripes have already represented for Birmingham, Dublin, Shanghai, Liverpool, and Sapporo.
