British retailer size? is back with its next installment in its celebratory 25th Anniversary City Series with German sportswear giant adidas. Working on the Dublin silhouette, this pair is limited to a production run of 2,025 pairs. In total, six different shoes featuring six cities are to be launched as part of the series in 2025, and with the cities being six of the twelve already featured by size? and adidas in previous anniversary series, anticipation is building on what will be upcoming.
The series began with the launch of the 1/2025 Shanghai, featuring a color scheme inspired by the local nightlife, and this sort of thinking has also influenced the creation of the Dublin. Inspired by the vintage advertising and signage the Irish stout brewery is famous for worldwide, the premium tumbled leather upper features an almost yellow hue. This bright and neutral shade is complemented by smooth leather Three Stripes and a rear heel tab, which showcases deep, dark shadow brown tones. The simple use of two colors combines elegantly, exuding a retro vibe.
Serrated edges to the Three Stripes and eyestay continue the vintage-esque flow of the design, with a traditional dimpled tongue sat in place to ensure a flexible fit while being worn. The almost yellow hues extend to the collar lining and insole, with the embroidered anniversary insole patch finished in red, just as the classic Guinness adverts were seen. Gold foil details the Trefoil graphic on the tongue, and more gold hits the Dublin moniker debossed at the midfoot, parallel to the iconic stripes.
At the rear, 1/2025 runs vertically down the heel counter, boasting the sneaker's limited availability. Underfoot, a dark gum-colored rubber outsole provides increased traction and grip. The shoe will also come with a 25th Anniversary dual branded hangtag, a fold-out poster, and a collectible booklet.
The adidas Dublin 25th Anniversary City Series Almost Yellow is set to release on March 21, 2025, exclusively at size? with the drawing via their official app live. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is $115. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
