Salehe Bembury has been busy. The designer with a million jobs has been dropping new colorways for Puma and Crocs while working on his own Spunge footwear line, and to round it all out, he dropped a new book with famed art publisher Rizzoli this week titled “I MAKE SHOES.” To mark his entry into the literary world, Bembury teamed up with his book’s publisher for a collaborative colorway of the new Spunge Osmosis.
The Rizzoli x Spunge Osmosis is a study in grey, covering the bulbous runner in soft steel from the Squish Tech midsole to the mesh upper. A Rizzoli logo is featured on the toebox inside one of the oval panels, with the Spunge star logo on the side panel. The only bit of contrasting color from the grey is a cream-colored outsole that keeps the sophisticated look. To bring out the first Sponge collab, Bembury tapped Charles Miers, the publisher and editorial director of Rizzoli, for an editorial shoot in his office.

“I MAKE SHOES” is Bembury’s first book. The coffee table-sized art book looks back at Bembury’s 15-year career in every corner of the sneaker industry, putting together sketches, samples, renderings, and photography of his work with brands like Versace, New Balance, Yeezy, Crocs, and more. Matching up with the shock drop of the collab shoe, the book dropped this week and is a must-have for any Salehe fan.
The Rizzoli x Spunge Osmosis was released today, October 15, 2025 through Salehe’s Spunge webstore and will be featured at upcoming Spunge retail activations. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150. For all the latest news about Bembury’s latest drops, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
