The design team at Japan’s legacy sneaker boutique atmos works just as hard as the shop’s retail arm, long establishing the brand as a force in the collab game. For its latest partnership, atmos is back with New Balance for a take on the ABZORB 2010 that highlights one of the country’s favorite condiments.
The atmos x New Balance ABZORB 2010 Wasabi is the latest shoe to get the close-up preview treatment from atmos head honcho Koji, who revealed the 2010 collab on Instagram. From what we can see, the shoe combines dark green and grey hairy suede, plus steel grey mesh to create a look reminiscent of the Japanese horseradish.
In the zoomed-in preview, we can also see a reflective grey New Balance logo on the tongue, and white insoles with NB 2010 branding on the left shoe and Japanese characters on the right. The laces are a creamy off-white color.
