The baseball season is long. Really long. 162 games in the regular season allow for a lot of streaks, both winning and losing, without moving too far in the standings. For the Texas Rangers, sitting exactly at .500 in mid-June has landed them smack dab in the AL West race, with a playoff spot still clearly in sight. The latest boost for the boys in Dallas? A new Nike Air Max 1 collab.
Continuing Nike’s MLB City Connect collab collection tied directly to new alternate jerseys for eight squads across the league, the Rangers are the latest team to lace fans with a team-branded Air Max 1 colorway. Made to match the Rangers’ City Connect uniforms, the pair is coated in red leather with jacquard fabric on the toebox and side panels, and Tejas branding to rep the squad’s Latino fandom.
Starting with textured red leather on the toe and heel, the side panels get soft in what looks to be red nubuck, which gives way to an even more plush jacquard fabric on the toebox and side panel accents with floral-style all-over print detailing. White is added to the Swoosh, tongue stabilizer graphics, Tejas tongue tag, and Texas graphic insole, all matching the white midsole sitting underfoot.
The Nike Air Max 1 Rangers City Connect will be released June 17, 2026 through Sneaker Politics in-store and online, with a wider release through the Rangers team store, Nike, and select retailers expected to follow soon. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150. For all the latest Nike MLB news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
