Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two years, you would know that New Balance is completely dominating the game. Back in 2018 and 2019, most sneakerheads wouldn’t even touch the Boston-based footwear brand with a stick, but now, everyone needs to own at least one pair of NBs (make that two). With all that said, Baltimore’s very own YCMC has just announced the YCMC x New Balance 990v3 "Grey," and it’s as luxurious as they come.
The last time YCMC teamed up with New Balance was last summer when they united for the New Balance 992 "Rewind." While that particular pair was extremely colorful and vibrant, for 2022, the power duo have brought things back to basics with a more minimalistic approach. Featuring a ballistic mesh base and pig suede overlays, this 990v3 is drenched in various shades of grey from heel to toe. Earthier tones hit the collar, tongue, and vamp for a subtle yet striking contrast, and “New Balance USA” is finely debossed on the tongue, proudly showcasing the Teddy Santis-helmed division.
