Looking into the closets of skaters, models, and the average person on the street, you’d likely find at least one pair of Vans in the rotation. Forever in pop culture thanks to Spicoli’s pair of checkerboard Vans Slip-Ons in the movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High, the Cali-based skate brand is looking to remind us that their shoes have been “Classics Since Forever” with the help of their most recent brand ambassador, Anderson. Paak.
Coming off his “Vanderson” Collection, .Paak appears in the campaign wearing his signature style of 70s clothing while rocking a pair of Vans in a black, white, and blue colorway. Shot playing the drums, standing on his toes, and playing off the company’s motto “Off The Wall” with the multi-talented artist hanging out near the walls of his studio. The purpose of this campaign is to shine a light on the Vans Classics line, including the Old Skool, Slip-On, Sk8 Hi, Authentic, and Era silhouettes.
Each style of the Vans Classics Since Forever campaign will roll out in 2022, coming in iconic colorways forever tied to Vans silhouettes, including the white and black checkerboard and monochromatic black and red. For more updates on the latest from Vans and Anderson .Paak as well as the rest of the sneaker and streetwear scene, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app.
