The Brand With The Three Stripes has enlisted South Africa's Thebe Magugu this season for the Thebe Magugu x adidas Collection. Comprising of two retro silhouettes, including the Forum Mid and the Nizza Platform Mid, the collaboration aims to spread joy and freedom and celebrate love and unity. Marking the Johannesburg-based fashion designer's second collaboration with the German giant, here's everything that you need to know.
Utilizing the bird of paradise flower as its main inspiration, this perennial plant, which is native to South Africa, decorates the sockliner of the Forum Mid, resulting in an understated yet unique look and feel. The Nizza Platform Mid, on the other hand, goes down a more striking route. Painted in a bold power red hue, the flower features all across the canvas upper for a show-stopping aesthetic that we just can't ignore. Magugu's signature logo features on the tongue of each shoe, and it's also worth noting that both pairs are made with a series of recycled materials, so not only will your sneaker rotation be happy, the environment will be too.
The Thebe Magugu x adidas Forum Mid and Thebe Magugu x adidas Nizza Platform Mid are both set to drop exclusively in women's sizes for $120 and $95, respectively. Releasing on October 29th, 2022, they'll be available at Thebe Magugu, adidas, and select stockists online and in-store.
