New York City graffiti scene staple and streetwear label HOMERUN is serious about running, and not just from the cops on bombing missions. Based out of a Brooklyn storefront that serves as both a boutique and a community space, HOMERUN hosts frequent group runs in unconventional footwear. For the team’s next run event in Australia, HOMERUN is debuting its first Nike collab and giving away pairs to a few lucky satanic steppers.

The HOMERUN x Nike Air Max Plus is the first sneaker collab from HR, starting with a black mesh base and a black patent leather cage around it, HOMERUN branding is added to the mesh in white just behind the cage, curving across the entire lateral side panel. We’ve only seen quick previews of the shoe so far, but from what we can see, the HOMERUN logo on the side panel is the only contrast to the otherwise triple-black colorway.

HOMERUN has only been around for two years, but with close ties amongst the New York and global graffiti scene, the brand has built a reputation fast. In addition to the new Nike collab, they’ve already linked with the Swoosh to give out free pairs of all-black Air Force 1s to runners who ran a 5K in the triple-blacks. Recently, HOMERUN stepped into the streetwear big leagues with a Supreme collab collection, bringing a city-specific baseball and graffiti theme jerseys, hats, and more.

The HOMERUN x Nike Air Max Plus will be released at the Surplus streetwear festival this weekend in Sydney, Australia, with winners of a raffle given the shot to run a 6.66 KM race in free pairs of the collab. There’s no word on a wider release yet, but with HOMERUN’s home base in Brooklyn, we’ll keep you posted on any upcoming NYC drop over on the Sole Retriever mobile app.
