In October adidas announced a global partnership with Microsoft's Xbox to celebrate the console's 20th Anniversary. Hot on the heels of the “Always Played In. Never Played Out” campaign's inaugural friends and family release of the Xbox x adidas Forum Tech “Halo 20th Anniversary," the two brands are back at it with the release of the adidas Forum Mid Xbox 360.
Unlike the previous collaboration, the adidas Forum Mid Xbox 360 will be getting a public release on Thursday, November 4th, 2021. The sneaker is inspired by the iconic Xbox 360 console and there are subtle hints throughout the Forum Mid's construction that Xbox fans will instantly recognize. The upper features a white, grey, and silver color blocking similar to the Xbox 360's color palette. The strap features a metallic silver band reminiscent of the Xbox 360's disc tray along with 360-era Xbox button design on the shoe’s outer side and the console’s air vents on the inner side. As a final touch, the sneaker will include red, blue, yellow and green laces as a nod to the colors that made up the buttons on the console's controller. With the attention to detail, there is sure to be additional easter eggs nestled throughout the sneaker.
